The Manager will be responsible for regulatory compliance with UNOS, CMS, state and federal laws, and will lead and direct the financial coordination of transplant authorization and insurance clearance. We seek an experienced leader in Outpatient Services who thinks that it is important to have nurses, physicians, and administration collaborate in an integrated fashion.
The duties of this position will include:
- Planning, organizing, directing and assisting in the overall operations and staff management of the Heart Transplant program.
- Operating and capital budget preparation, labor and supply cost management and revenue enhancement.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal laws, and oversight of the marketing and outreach activities related to strategic physician affiliations and patient education and recruitment.
- Interact with, and support, the activities of a highly qualified surgical staff and consulting and primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, and social workers.
- 5 day work week, Monday to Friday.

Requirements include:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or equivalent experience as an RN. Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and/or Nurse Practitioner (NP) license preferred.
- State of Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License, or immediate eligibility.
- At least 3 years of managerial experience in organ failure/transplantation; experience with reimbursement systems, practice management and/or ambulatory care experience preferred.
- Management style that emphasizes teamwork, participation and communication is required.
- Experience working in a union environment preferred.
