BOD Recommends Changes to Bylaws
Did you know that the ITNS bylaws can be found on the ITNS web site?
Did you know that about every two years the BOD painstakingly review the bylaws? They look for everything from previously missed typos to suggesting updates that reflect changes in terminology and advances in technology. The goal is not to make the bylaws longer or shorter, but to better reflect the goals, mission and governance of the organization. This is also a good time for both the Board and the Membership to think about the complexity of the organization and what it takes to keep ITNS moving forward.
The Board is submitting recommended bylaw changes to the Membership for review and comment. As per bylaw directives, the Membership will vote on accepting these changes at the ITNS General Assembly, Saturday October 6, 2007 in Denver Colorado. Comments regarding the proposed changes can be emailed to itns.org@msn.com or folkpg@upmc.edu.
